  • ‘Tackling Health Festival – Northampton Saints Day of Rugby’ – Monday 29th April 2019I

    We have been invited to take 15 of our Year 3 pupils to attend the ‘Tackling Health Festival – Northampton Saints Day of Rugby’ on Monday 29th April at Franklins Gardens in Northampton.  The children will have an introduction to Northampton Saints, then a behind the scenes tour.  They will then take part in a healthy sandwich making workshop followed by a Tag Festival Training Session on the pitches in the afternoon

  • Yr 5 - Visit from Hrothgar the Viking - Wednesday 24th April

    On 24th April 2019, the Year 5 classroom will be raided by Hrothgar the Viking!  Hrothgar will be taking the children to his camp to discover the life of a Viking Warrior – they will learn all about trading, the gods, life and death, gender roles, food and drink, runes and Viking games.  Presentation is a mixture of show and tell, Q&A and story-telling in which the children get to play the characters.

  • YR 5 & 6 - Enterprise Sale - Tuesday 2nd April - 3.15 - 4.00pm

    The children will be selling drinks, cakes and sweets on their stalls. There will also be raffle tickets on sale. 
    All profit made from their business will be going to the Corby Nightlight, which is the local charity the children decided on.

  • YR 5 & YR 6 - Drumming Performance - Thursday 28th March at 10.00am

    Year 5 and 6 have been taking part in a weekly ‘Let’s Play Samba’ drumming workshop since January.  The workshops will be finishing at the end of this term.

    The children have all been practising really hard and we would like to invite you in to see them in action on Thursday 28th March at 10am.

  • YR 3 Ministry of Chocolate Workshop - Friday 29th March

    We have organised for ‘The Ministry of Chocolate’ to come and visit Year 3 children.  To support their learning in class, this workshop will take children on an exciting, comprehensive and very carefully crafted ‘chocolate journey’. The workshop has a very high visual and physical stimulus content.  The children will get to see and touch real cocoa pods, real cocoa beans and taste a little bit of cocoa nib

  • Sports Week - 18th to 22nd March

    Friday 22nd March -  Grand opening of the track and 'Race for Life' raising money for Cancer Research (sponsor forms have been sent home) - There will also be a Football Coach visit. This will be a  Sports Mufti Day - children to wear PE clothing suitable for running, jogging and fast walking. We are asking for a donation of £1 which will contribute to sporting equipment.

  • YR 6 Stibbington Visit - Wednesday 20th March

    Year 6 to visit the Stibbington Centre in Peterborough to experience a re-created ‘Evacuation Day’. On Evacuation Days they turn the clock back to the 1940s. In the role of real children who were evacuated from London to Stibbington during WWII, the day begins with arrival at the nearby steam railway centre. From there a learning walk takes children through the wartime countryside to the Centre where lessons include In line with the National Curriculum and to support our learning about World War 2, we have arranged for gas mask drill and air raids.
